Hi, I’m Nikki, the founder of Butter + Bow—a brand dedicated to creating beautiful experiences through thoughtful gifting. My journey with Butter + Bow is the culmination of a lifelong passion for baking, hosting, and creating moments that bring people together. At Butter + Bow, we specialize in custom cookies and corporate gifting, creating memorable experiences for all occasions.

Food has always been at the heart of my life. Growing up, my family used food as our love language. My grandmother had a gift for making everyone feel special, anticipating favorite meals before guests even arrived. I spent my childhood immersed in my family’s Chinese and sushi restaurant, where I learned the value of hospitality, while my sister, a professional baker and owner of Dolce e Salato in Hangzhou, China, created many of the recipes we use today. These experiences taught me how food can connect people and make them feel seen and valued.

In 2013, I started my first business, Confections by Nikki, a home-based dessert and event shop in NYC. While working full-time in leadership development in healthcare, Fortune 500 retail, and global luxury retail, I spent my weekends planning dessert tables and setting up event décor across the greater New York City area. More recently, I launched Cannon Studio (now Butter + Bow Gifts), where I create luxury soy candles and incorporate aromatherapy products designed to bring warmth, and a beautiful sensory experience into any space.

Inspired by my love for baking, and boutique shopping, my background in event planning, and my travels around the world, Butter + Bow combines globally inspired flavors and high quality ingredients with intentional design. Each cookie tells a story and reflects the care and intention behind it.

I believe gifting should feel effortless and joyful, something you can do frequently and without limits. That’s why our cookies are intentionally designed to feel special but approachable—whether you’re celebrating a milestone or simply saying thank you. Edible gifts are beautiful in their simplicity. Once the last cookie is gone, all that’s left is the memory of a meaningful moment—no clutter, no waste.

The name Butter + Bow is inspired by my children, Charlie and Charlotte, who remind me of the beauty in small, meaningful moments. Charlie’s love for high-quality butter and Charlotte’s fondness for oversized bows embody the essence of the brand: quality, care, and a little touch of whimsy. My husband, Chris is our resident photographer and pitches in to make deliveries and lift oversized bags of flour. I’ve always loved growing up in a family business and cherish sharing this lifestyle with my own little family. As much as our kids love cookies, they know not to touch them because they’re for “mama’s customers.”
